Raised on a family farm in the Loess Hills region of western Iowa, I developed a deep appreciation of nature and wild places early in a life filled with many years of hiking, camping, hunting and fishing. Additional travel throughout the Midwest and Western U.S gave me a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of ecosystems and their wild inhabitants.
As a nature photographer, I feel compelled to give back to the wild communities where I capture my images.
To support those wild ecosystems and habitats I will donate 20% of the proceeds of all image sales to related conservation organizations who share my committment to preserving our wild splendor.
I am a member of, or support by donation the following conservation organizations: Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, Foundation for Wild Sheep, Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, Pheasants Forever, National Wild Turkey Federation, Polar Bears International, Audubon Society.
Enjoy these special images of our natural world.
